Fostering community development is a cornerstone of WTR’s overall growth strategy. Although development of exploration and mining projects can have a direct impact on the environment, demographic structure etc, through early engagement of community and other stakeholders on decision-making and coordination of development policies, WTR aims to prevent possible future dissatisfactions and offer solutions for the existing concerns.

Heritage
Southeastern Europe is a region with rich history of archeology, culture etc. As a region rich in mineral resources also, and mining history since the ancient age, it has a rich history on archeo-metallurgy too. WTR in cooperation with relevant institutions and local communities is engaged in protecting zones of importance in history, archeology etc in her projects and in the countries of operations.

Environmental Responsibility
Environmental responsibility is integral to the company’s commitment to sustainable operations. We are committed to contributing to the impact reduction of mining emissions in the local climate, to improving water quality by reducing water pollution and eliminating the release of hazardous chemicals and materials during our mining and drilling operations, to protecting water-related ecosystems, including mountains, forests, meadows, pastures, streams, rivers, aquifers, and lakes. We give a significant importance to protecting natural habitats and biodiversity loss, protecting, and preventing the extinction of threatened species.
